Head of Moldovan diplomacy has meeting at Federal Council of Russia

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/ – The overcoming of issues accumulated in bilateral relations by intensifying the parliamentary cooperation with Russia, including elimination of existing barriers to the development of commercial – economic relations were discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, with the chairman of the foreign policy commission of the Federal Council of Russia, Konstantin Kosaciov, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
During the meeting, interlocutors have also addressed the topic of the draft bilateral agreements in the fields of labour migration, social security, etc.
Also, Nicu Popescu stressed upon the need to withdraw the Russian military troops from the Transnistrian region of Moldova. Also, it was welcomed the readiness of Russia to resume the dialogue on destruction of ammunition stored in the Cobasna warehouses.
Nicu Popescu and Konstantin Kosaciov have also exchanged views on regional situation.
