Moldovan parliament speaker meets president of Austrian parliament's Federal Council

Chisinau, 24 September /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii has had a meeting with President of the Federal Council of the parliament of Austria Karl Bader, on the sidelines of the Forum of Parliament Speakers from the Eurasian Countries, titled, Greater Eurasia: Dialogue. Trust. Partnership, held in the Nur-Sultan city, Kazakhstan, on 23-24 September, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Zinaida Greceanii thanked Austria for support on the period of creation of the parliamentary majority. She spoke out for the deepening and extension of cooperation on the parliamentary dimension and for increasing the commercial exchanges between the two countries.
For his part, Karl Bader invited the parliament speaker to the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU), due in Vienna in August 2020. Bader congratulated Moldova’s authorities for having successfully started the reforms, noting that Austria would back Moldova in continuation.
The sides opted for a collaboration based on respect and trust.
Attending the meeting were Deputy Parliament Speakers Mihail Popsoi and Alexandru Slusari, as well as lawmaker Bogdan Tirdea. Parliament speakers from 65 countries of Europe and Asia, as well as leaders of 14 important international and inter-parliamentary organizations participate in the Forum of Parliament Speakers from the Eurasian Countries, Greater Eurasia: Dialogue.
