Investigation commission approves report on elucidating circumstances of robbing bank system

Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- The parliamentary committee of inquiry investigating bank fraud unanimously approved the Report on elucidating the circumstances of robbing bank system. The decision was taken on October 10, when the deadline for the commission’s activity expired.
Commission’s head Alexandr Slusari made the statement. He noted that next week the report will be submitted to parliament.
"The Commission has no way to replace justice. No one can forbid us to give our opinion after examining this devious step with bank fraud, organized with the full support of the political class”, he said.
The commission of inquiry was set up by the parliament on June 10, 2019, with an activity period of 120 days. The commission heard several former officials, including former Finance Minister Veaceslav Negruță, former chairman of the parliamentary committee on economy, budget and finance Veaceslav Ionita, chairman of the former parliamentary commission investigating the theft of the billion Oleg Reidman, former deputy head of the Savings Bank Viorel Birca, former Prime Minister Vlad Filat and former governor of BNM Dorin Dragutanu.
