Moldovan leu appreciates against euro, U.S. dollar

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/ – The value of Moldovan leu (MDL) appreciates, on Thursday, 17 October, against the euro (EUR) and U.S. dollar (USD), according to the official exchange rates stipulated by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).

Thus, USD depreciates by MDL 0.04 down to the cost of MDL 17.46 for $1. The single European currency (EUR) decreases by MDL 0.03, from MDL 19.28 to MDL 19.25 for €1.

The prices of Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) and Romanian leu (RON) depreciate with MDL 0.01. As a result, RON costs MDL 04.04 for L1, and UAH – MDL 0.70 for ₴1.

As for the cost of Russian rouble (RUB), the price set by BNM is similar to the one of today – MDL 0.27 for ₽1.
