Moldovan parliamentary delegation exchanges electoral experience on platform of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly

Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/- A Moldovan parliamentary delegation participates in an International Conference of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly - Institute of elections - mechanism for legitimizing public authorities. The conference aims to exchange information and experience in the field of legislative provision of elections and plebiscites in the CIS area, the development of the electoral culture, the strengthening of civic responsibility and the interest of citizens in the processes of establishing public administration bodies, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The event takes place on 17-18 October in Minsk, and is organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states, the CIS Executive Committee and the Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus for elections and the conduct of republican referendums.

The Moldovan parliament delegation includes Eduard Smirnov, member of the Commission for Environment and Regional Development, Ala Ursu-Antoci, head of the Cabinet of the chairman of the PSRM faction in parliament.

The delegation will attend all four plenary sessions: "Constitutional construction and legitimization of public authorities"; "International experience and issues regarding the legitimacy of public authorities in the process of elections / referendums"; "Monitoring of elections - institute of legitimizing public authorities"; "Elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Legislation and practice ”.

The participants in the forum will visit the exhibition from the Government House dedicated to the activity of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus.
