Moldovan court of accounts to have own budget

Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/- The Court of Accounts will have its own budget, which will be included in the state budget as a separate compartment. The law on the matter and the presidential decree on its promulgation will be published on in the Official Journal of Moldova on 18 October. The new provisions will enter into force on 1 January 2020.
The court budget will be managed independently. It will be worked out according to the principles, rules and procedures provided by the Law on public finances and the fiscal responsibility for the independent / autonomous budgetary authorities. If the resources are insufficient to fulfil the mandate, the Court of Accounts will have the right to address the Parliament.
The government, within three months of adoption of the new law, will bring its legislation in line with it.
Currently, the Court of Accounts is financed from the state budget within the limits of the allocations approved by the annual budget law.
