There is legal possibility to organize common border crossing point with Romania - border police head says

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/- Border Police Head Rosian Vasiloi told an interview for MOLDPRES that "it is possible to organize one Moldovan-Romanian border crossing point".

According to him, in 2017, the Moldovan authorities adopted the legislative framework necessary for this objective. "There was reluctance from Romania to organize one border crossing point between the Republic of Moldova and Romania", he said.

Rosian Vasiloi will pay a visit to Bucharest and will meet with his Romanian counterpart, Ioan Buda, to discuss issues of joint actions of the two border authorities, including the development of a pilot concept of a common border crossing point.
