Moldovan president meets former, current rectors of State University of Medicine and Pharmacy

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/ – The President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, met on Friday, 18 October, with the new rector of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) Nicolae Testemitanu, Emil Ceban, doctor qualified in medical sciences, professor, professor of the USMF Nicolae Testemitanu, university professor, doctor qualified in medical sciences, academic of ASM.

According to the press service of the presidential institution, the interlocutors discussed the current state of the most important institution of higher education in medicine and pharmacy in Moldova, recognised internationally. The President thanked Ion Ababii for the good activity that he has carried out during the recent 25 years as rector of the university, he being the one who has made a significant contribution to the consolidation of the system of childcare in the activity that he will continue to carry out .

Also, Igor Dodon has sent sincere congratulations to Emil Ceban, who has mentioned that during his term he will continue to promote a transparent and efficient management system, adapted to the needs of the universal community with state – of – the – art medical technologies.

The head of state encouraged Emil Ceban and assured him of full support from the presidential institution so that the USMF asserted and from now on that an academic environment of excellence of quality. Igor Dodon mentioned that the training of professional medical professionals has a strategic significance for the healthcare system in Moldova on which it depends the quality of medical services in Moldova.

At the end of the meeting, the President of Moldova accepted the invitation to visit the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Nicolae Testemitanu, in perspective.
