Moldovan electoral body presents preliminary results on elections

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/- The Central Election Commission (CEC) presented today the preliminary results for the new parliamentary elections in the four uninominal constituencies in which the voting citizens yesterday elected their representatives in the legislature.
Thus, for the constituency No17 (Nisporeni, Straseni), 21 out of 43 reports have been processed. Preliminary results show that Ghenadie Verdeș got 4094 votes, Ion Terguță - 1894 votes and Pavel Artamonov - 646 votes.
For the constituency No33 (Chisinau), 10 out of 27 reports have been processed. Under preliminary data, Vasile-Andrei Nastase picked up 3587 votes, Svetlana Popa - 1953 votes and Tudor Deliu - 696 votes.
In the constituency No48 (Slobozia, Tiraspol and Bender) all reports have been processed, and as a result 909 voters voted for Vitalii Eftodiev, 201 – for Ion Iovcev and 31 – for Teodor Turta.
For the constituency No50, 74 out of 85 reports have been processed. According to preliminary information presented by the CEC, Galina Sajin got 5938 votes, Dorin Dușciac - 557 votes and Vasile Calmațui - 462 votes.
The citizens of the four uninominal constituencies on 20 October elected their representatives in the legislature. The parliamentary seats were left vacant after two MPs elected after the 24 February poll resigned, and two others resigned because of incompatibility of functions.
