China willing to provide assistance on COVID-19

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu today met with Ambassador of China to Moldova Zhang Yinghong, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The officials approached issues related to bilateral relations and exchanged views on measures taken by the Moldovan and Chinese governments to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
"We strictly follow the WHO recommendations. The experience of our colleagues in other countries in managing the COVID-19 pandemic is important. We are also thinking about the economic effects of the pandemic. We will continue massive investment projects in infrastructure to cushion the effects of the crisis. We are working on identifying some credit lines for the private sector ”, said Ion Chicu.
Zhang Yinghong reiterated the Chinese Government's willingness to provide the necessary technical and information assistance. "We have gained enough experience in these two months. The situation in China has improved, businesses are resuming their activity, "said the Ambassador.
The Chinese government gives Moldova a batch of one thousand tests for COVID-19 screening, which will be soon.
