Public transport from Moldovan capital restricted on 21-22 March

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau general mayor has informed that the public transport would be restricted in the Moldovan capital on 21 and 22 March.
In an online video posting, mayor Ion Ceban said that, under the decision of the Commission for Emergency Situations and the single anti-epidemic command centre had ruled to restrict the public transport in the Chisinau city on Saturday and Sunday.
“The buses and trolley buses from the Chisinau municipality will move as normal starting from 7:00 till 10:00 and will be ceased afterwards. At 16:00, the movement will be resumed till 19:00, after which it will be ceased again,’’ Ion Ceban noted.
The mayor also said that ‘’starting from 23 March, the public transport will work as normal.’’
According to Ceban, the measures were taken, in order to avoid the mass infections with COVID-19.
On 17 March, the parliament declared state of emergency on the entire territory of Moldova till 15 May 2020.
