All expenses, excepting vitally necessary ones, to be suspended in medical institutions of Moldova

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - The public medical and sanitary institutions will suspend the carrying out capital and current repairs, other expenses, as well as the procurement of fixed assets, excepting those which are vitally necessary for the providing of medical assistance, according to a decision by Moldova’s Commission for Emergency Situations, which held a meeting on 20 March.

Also, to diminish the negative consequences of COVID-19, means of the Global Fund will be accessed for the protection of the medical staff, communication, maintaining essential services and chain of supply with medicines and medical devices, consumables and needed protection equipment, biocide and waste management. 

The procurement will be made immediately, according to the needs, from the sources available at present, through negotiations, without preliminary publication of an announcement of participation or direct contracting with the economic operator.
