Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/– U.S. Ambassador to Moldova Dereck J. Hogan today paid a visit to the COVID-19 sorting centre from the MoldExpo, where he donated computers to the institution’s IT centre.
The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, thanked the American government for support and involvement in combating the coronavirus infection.
According to Ceban, the technology will be used for stocking in operative regime of patients’ data and will allow making a quick connection with other medical institutions from Chisinau, in order to be able to quickly distribute the patients.
The COVID-19 sorting centre will allow the medical authorities to avoid the over-crowding of hospitals and enforce the strategy adopted in the European Union: the people with easy cases will receive treatment at home and the ones in serious condition will be hospitalized.
