Moldova gets new batch of humanitarian aid from China

Chisinau, 10 April /MOLDPRES/- China has offered a new batch of 3 tons of humanitarian aid to Moldova this morning. Attending the event were President Igor Dodon, Chinese Ambassador to our country Zhang Yinghong, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu and other members of the government.
The assistance includes personal protection equipment for medical staff: suits, sterile gloves, medical masks, respiratory protective masks, booties, medical glasses and infrared thermometers.
The Chinese official said that the fight with COVID-19 is a common one for all mankind. "The new coronavirus is spreading very quickly all over the world. It is a common enemy for all countries. In this context, we must unite our forces to support one another, " he said.
Dodon thanked the Chinese side for the support and said that this is the second batch of humanitarian aid from China. The first batch of tests was last week.
The protective equipment will be distributed starting today in all medical institutions treating patients with COVID-19. On 15 April another batch of protective equipment, tests, medicines and supplies will arrive in the country.
