Moldova's Single Command Centre of emrgency state holds meeting

Chisinau, 10 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today chaired an online meeting of the Single Command Centre of the emergency centre, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The heads of the institutions involved reported the measures taken to prevent the spread of the epidemic and the problems faced.

Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu informed about the investigation of 568 samples and confirmation of 149 cases of infection with COVID-19. One case of them is of import and 148 – with local transmission.

Most cases confirmed are from the Chisinau city – 57, Soroca district – 23, the districts of Falesti and Orhei – 8 each. Seventeen cases of infection with COVID-19 were confirmed on the left bank of Dniester.

The members of the Single Command Centre discussed possibilities of toughening the measures meant to reduce the mobility of people non-involved in activities; monitoring of those who are in self-isolation and continuous informing of citizens about the need to strictly observe physicians’ recommendations.

Viorica Dumbraveanu informed about the continuation of trainings for the medical staff and enhancing the level of discipline in medical institutions.
