Moldovan capital's authorities change conditions as to preservation of social distance in education process

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan capital’s authorities have reduced the social distance between the pupils who attend the education institutions.
In a press statement, the Chisinau city hall informs that the physical distance between pupils was reduced from 1.5 to 1 metre in the municipal education institutions. At the same time, the pupils will return to the usual duration of the school class, which is of 45 minutes.
These and other provisions, which refer to the spaces in classrooms/ halls for courses, in the context of the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, are contained in the Decision No 31 of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission from 24 September 2020.
According to the deputy Chisinau mayor, Angela Cutasevici, the new amendments will give education institutions possibility to reconfigure the school spaces, by including more pupils in the education process.
At the same time, at a today’s online meeting of the Chisinau city hall’s services, the head of the social assistance and health general department, Tatiana Bucearschi, said that a number of 380 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were registered in municipal education institutions, of whom 166 are pupils and 214 – employees of municipal education institutions.
