Public health state of emergency set up on administrative-territorial units

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/- The National Public Health Commission finds that the epidemiological situation is unfavorable, with major negative trends recorded in certain administrative-territorial units of the country, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In order to increase the efficiency of the measures applied for the prevention and control of COVID-19 infection and effectiveness of resource management, the National Public Health Commission set up state of emergency in public health on territorial-administrative units. Also, alert levels were set based on risk level indicators. Red code level is assimilated to the state of emergency in public health. Public health measures applicable at national level have been established.
The territorial public health commissions will establish the public health measures according to the Plan for the preparation and response to the new type of Coronavirus infection (COVID-19) - Version 2, in accordance with the alert level in the administrative territory.
Adjustment (tightening / relaxation) of public health measures related to the activity of educational institutions, medical institutions, public service institutions, public order institutions, economic agents, polling stations will be coordinated in advance with the National Public Health Commission.
