Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - People who are in the self-isolation regime and want to leave Moldova will play a civil penalty.
In an interview given exclusively with the MOLDPRES Agency, the head of the General Inspectorate of the Border Police, Corneliu Groza, said that ‘’the people in the self-isolation regime can leave Moldova, but this does not exempt them from civil responsibility for the violation of this regime.’’
„Under the Decision No 30 of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP) from 11 September 2020, the provision banning the exit from Moldova for people who did not observe the self-isolation regime was excluded; yet, the compulsoriness for observing this regime by people was not excluded. Thus, after this date, the person who infringes the self-isolation regime and comes to a border crossing point is called to contraventional account, based on the Article 761 (1) from the Contraventional Code and afterwards he/she is allowed to cross the border, without limiting his/her right to free movement outside Moldova.’’ Corneliu Groza said.
At the same time, the official noted that the Border Police had been given powers of preventing and combating the pandemic and has right to make verification of the observance of the self-isolation regime by the people who are obliged to observe this regime.
