New batch of 100,000 tests for COVID-19 to be purchased soon - MSMPS says

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/- The authorities have decided to purchase with the support of the World Bank 100 thousand tests for COVID-19. Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu made the statement in an exclusive interview for MOLDPRES.

Currently, there are still over 70 thousand tests in the reserves of the National Public Health Agency, and the purchase of other batches is discussed with specialists.

The official said that the procurement of influenza vaccine is currently underway.

"Acquisitions have already been made through UNICEF and we will also receive a donation from the USA. Also, we are under centralized acquisition of 100 thousand doses of vaccine, which will be distributed according to traditional schedules ", said Dumbrăveanu.

The minister noted that our country recently sent a request to the Global Alliance for Vaccines asking that if a COVID-19 vaccine, accepted by the WHO is worked out, to include us in the waiting list.
