Departments for treatment of COVID-19 cases opened in all district hospitals - health minister says

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/- Departments to treat COVID-19 cases have been opened in all district hospitals, and currently about 70 per cent of beds are full. Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu made the statement in an interview for MOLDPRES.
The official noted that all districts in the country have a department for COVID patients.
The minister said that most cases of COVID-19, and most institutions for the treatment of patients with the new coronavirus are in the capital. "We have already discussed on the platform of the capital's health directorate, so that we can increase the number of beds in the hospital system," the official said.
So far, the balance of people infected with the new coronavirus in the Republic of Moldova has reached 52,029 cases, of which 38,579 people have already been treated.
