Moldovan president has working meeting with Russian Ambassador

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with Russia’s Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov, the presidential press service has reported.
The officials discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral relations. The sides highly appreciated the recent dialogue between Igor Dodon and Russian President Vladimir Putin, held in videoconference format.
The Moldovan president and the Russian head of state discussed the most topical issues on the bilateral agenda, including the talks on a 200-million-euros-worth Russian loan, humanitarian assistance for Moldova’s farmers, getting the authorized vaccine against the coronavirus, as well as a possible resumption of the air and railway traffic between the two countries. In the near future, these and other subjects will be discussed by the PMs of Moldova and Russia.
At the meeting, the head of state and the Russian ambassador also discussed the Moldovan-Russian Economic Forum (teleconference), due to be held on 1 October, as well as an online meeting of the intergovernmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation, scheduled for 2 October.
Igor Dodon and Oleg Vasnetsov were unanimous in the opinion that, despite the pandemic crisis, the organization of these two events would give strong impetus to the development of the Moldova-Russia strategic partnership.
