Platform for protection of intelelctual property rights to be established in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/ - The government, at a today’s meeting, approved a decision on the information platform in the field of protection of the intellectual property rights.

Under the cabinet decision, the platform will be made up of: information system in the sector of protection of intellectual property objects; information system Register of intervention applications. At the same time, the cabinet members approved the technical concepts and the regulations of these systems.

The following institutions were nominated as subjects of legal relations of the information system: State Intellectual Property Agency – as possessor and holder of the information system in the field of intellectual property objects; Public Institution Information Technology and Cyber Security Service – as technical manager of the information system in the sector of intellectual property objects.

The following institutions were nominated as subjects of the legal relations of the information system, Register of intervention applications: Customs Service – as possessor and holder of the information system, Register of intervention applications; public institution, Centre of Information Technologies in Finance – as technical manager of the information system, Register of intervention applications.

The possessors will ensure the legal, organizational and financial conditions and the technical managers – the technological conditions for the good work of the aforementioned Platform.

The carrying out of the provisions of this decision will be made at the expense and within the limits of the financial means annually provided for in the state budget and other means, under the law. The possessors of the aforementioned information systems will annually assess the costs necessary for their management and will submit proposals on asking for financial means, in order to be included in the draft law on the state budget for the concerned year.
