Rescuers continue to liquidate consequences of heavy rains in south

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/- Employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Interior / IGSU / continue to work today to eliminate the consequences of heavy rains in the south of the country.
According to the IGSU press service, 155 people with 33 technical units were mobilized to pump water from households and to remove mud from people's yards.
Yesterday, rescuers, policemen, soldiers and local authorities carried out mud cleaning works in 27 private households in Comrat.
As a result of the heavy rains dozens of households were flooded, roads and gas pipelines damaged in several districts in the south.
