Children with special requirements of Moldova to benefit from inclusive education softs

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC), through the Education Reform in Moldova project (PRIM), will endow with specialized softs those 300 tablets and 100 laptops meant for children with special requirements, purchased with the financial support of the World Bank.
„Till the end of October, 11 applications will be set, which will facilitate the inclusive education process as regards the development of the capacities of reading and writing, both in Romanian and in Russian; learning of mathematics, converting texts in video format and other ways of teaching/learning necessary in the case of pupils with special requirements. The concerned softs will contribute to the development of pupils’ thinking and stimulation of their attention,’’ PRIM sources
According to the quoted source, after they are installed till the end of this year, the technology ready for use is planned to be distributed to those 100 Centres of Resources for Inclusive Education from Moldova.
Subsequently, the Education Ministry will hold online trainings for representatives of the Psycho-Pedagogical Services’ representatives and representatives of the Republican Centre of Psycho-Pedagogical Assistance as regards the use of this equipment from the didactic viewpoint. Besides laptops and tablets, through PRIM, other IT equipment was purchased, such as 100 multifunctional units for printing, copying and scanning; projectors, as well as a wide range of special education equipment necessary for children with disabilities.
The Education Reform in Moldova project is a specific investment loan provided by the World Bank, implemented in the period April 2013- April 2022, which supports Moldova’s government through financing activities which will consolidate the education quality and will lead to a more efficient education sector.
