Forty one Youth Friendly Health Centres receive protection equipment on behalf of United Nations Population Fund

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/ - Forty one Youth Friendly Health Centres today received a consignment of equipment on behalf of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The consignment includes 26,000 pairs of gloves, 1,300 protection screens, 5,500 coats, 150,000 masks and 23,000 caps.
Attending the donation event, the state secretary at the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), Marina Golovaci, thanked the partners for support. ‘’The donation provided by the Youth Clinic today is valuable, as beside the difficult conditions, the Youth Friendly Health Centres did not cease working, providing extremely necessary services of psychological, social counseling, medical assistance for the young generations,’’ Golovaci said.
Those 41 Youth Friendly Health Centres are trained within the public health system, which is part of the primary medical assistance, that functions in all Moldova’s districts and in cities, offering a wide range of confidential services to the young generation.
The consignment of medical equipment for personal protection of specialists from the Youth Klinic network, worth 40,000 dollars, was purchased through the public association, Health for Youth, from resources provided by UNFPA and is part of the response of the UN Population Fund to the COVID-19 pandemic.
