Presidential election campaign starts today

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/- The election campaign for the 1 November presidential election begins today.

Under the legislation, during the campaign, candidates for the presidency can raise electoral agitation in rallies, meetings with voters through media by displaying election posters or other forms of communication.

At the same time, the candidates for the presidency cannot use the administrative resources in the electoral campaigns and cannot use for the purpose of electoral advertising images representing state institutions or public authorities, or international organizations.

On election day no electoral agitation is allowed inside or adjacent to the polling station.

Six candidates were registered for the presidency in the electoral race so far, the documents of two more will be examined by the CEC.

It is about Renato Usatii - Our Party leader, Andrei Nastase - leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party (DA), Tudor Deliu - former leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), President Igor Dodon, independent, Violeta Ivanov – Shor Party MP and Maia Sandu – the Action and Solidarity Party leader.
