Moldovan deputy premier holds discussion with Swedish envoy

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic held a discussion on Thursday with Anna Lyberg, Sweden's Ambassador to Moldova, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Lesnic thanked the Ambassador for the opportunity to discuss issues of common interest and cooperation between Moldova and Sweden. The meeting focused on a number of issues, including the general situation in the negotiation process, given that Sweden will take over the OSCE Chairmanship in 2021.
The central topic of the dialogue between officials was the human rights situation in the region. The deputy premier informed about the alarming individual cases, which require maximum attention from the 5 + 2 actors and all international partners of the Republic of Moldova that manage the Human Rights component.
Lesnic explained the role of the Bureau for Reintegration during the elections and said that together with the Joint Control Commission (JCC) will cooperate with the national authorities responsible for conducting election and compliance with epidemiological rules by citizens.
Officials exchanged views on the implementation of the agenda for the implementation of UN Resolution 1325.
