More than 5,000 young people buy dwellings within First Home programme in Moldova

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 5,043 dwellings have been purchased within the First Home government programme so far. The sum of loans provided by banks is of 2.54 billion lei and the overall value of active guarantees is of 1.27 billion lei.
According to data by the Finance Ministry, 3,472 out of all beneficiaries are families and 1,571 are young unmarried people. The average age of applicants is of 31 years. Also, 734out of all beneficiaries enjoy compensations from the state budget within the First Home 2 programme, 1,895 – within the First Home 3 programme, 3,447 – within the First Home 4 programme and 3 within the First Home 5 programme.
The average area of the dwellings bought through the programme is of 60 square metres and the average value of dwellings purchased is 598.45 thousand lei. As many as 4,629 dwellings bought are apartments and 414 – private houses.
Any Moldova’s citizen with ages between 18 and 50 years, who are officially employed at a state institution or private company from Moldova, and have incomes from official sources, can be beneficiary of the First Home governmental programme.
