Document on fiscal, customs policy measures for 2021 proposed for public consultation in Moldova

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Finance Ministry today launched the process of public consultation of the document on fiscal and customs policy measures for 2021.
According to the Finance Ministry’s press service, the fiscal and customs policy measures for the next year aim at settling the economic constraints and ensurting the sustainable development of Moldova, through the promotion of a fiscal and customs legislation friendly to the economic development, strengthening the budged revenues, in order to finance the public expenses, as well as back the business environment.
The main fiscal and customs policy measures suggested by the ministry for 2021refer to: revising the exemption of private people by 5 per cent – from 24,000 lei up to 25,200 lei and respectively, from 18,000 lei to 18,900 lei; increasing the exemptions for maintained people by 50 per cent – from 3,000 lei up to 4,500 lei and retracting the exemption for husband/wife; standardization of the share of taxation of private people’s incomes; removing the retaining of the income tax in the case of distribution of dividends between companies; revising the shares of the values added tax (VAT) for the farmers hit by natural calamities; establishing the excise duties on tobacco products, alcoholic goods and oil products for a three-year period; inclusion of the road tax in the quota of the excise related to the oil products; implementation of a mechanism of subsidization of the companies for collecting and recycling of packaging.
After receiving and considering all proposals of policies at the document on the fiscal and customs policy measures for 2021, the Finance Ministry will give the final touches and publicly submit the draft law for consultations, after which it will convey it to the government for approval and, respectively, to the parliament for adoption.
