As many as 831 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 3,084 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 831 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 57,732 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.  

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 49 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 22, medical assistants –19, auxiliary staff employees – 8.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 755 are in serious condition, of whom 48 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus and 1,759 patients are in medium seriousness condition. The other patients are in satisfactory condition.   

Another 471 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 41,938 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,389 people dead of coronavirus in all. The virus killed a woman assistant from the Chisinau-based Oncological Institute. Thirty eight medical employees have died of COVID-19 till present.
