Localities affected by yesterday's rains to get aid from government

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/- Yesterday, several localities in the country were affected by heavy rains and strong wind. In particular, Boșcana village, Criuleni district and Cajba, Glodeni, were affected, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

This morning, Prime Minister Ion Chicu had telephone conversations with the mayors of the localities to coordinate the assessment of the damage and support from the government.

Cajba mayor Igor Macovei informed the prime minister that several roofs of the houses of the villagers have been affected, and the damage assessment process has already been initiated. Today, a meeting of the Emergency Commission will be convened in the territory to adopt the appropriate decisions and submit them to the government for approval and allocation of funds.

Boșcana mayor Svetlana Racu informed about serious damage caused to several public and individual buildings. The strong wind and the rain destroyed the roof of the mayoralty, church and about 40 houses. IGSU employees provided the necessary support to the villagers. Today, the assessments of the damages will be carried out and submitted to the government for the allocation of the necessary financial resources.

Ion Chicu and the mayors also discussed other issues related to the interaction between the government and the level 1 APL.
