Physicians monitor online more than 18,000 Chisinau residents infected with COVID-19

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - More than 18,000 Chisinau residents infected with easy forms of COVID-19 have been monitored online by family physicians through a special platform.

According to the Chisinau city hall’s press service, the platform has been implemented by the Moldovan capital’s authorities as of 29 April 2020 and is used in all institutions subordinated to the territorial medical associations from Chisinau. The platform’s goal is to optimize the process of monitoring by family physicians of patients infected with coronavirus, with easy forms of the infection.

The JIRA Software platform is a product conceived for the efficient and simplified management of data through a quick access system and following in real time of tasks by personalized flows, through the use of mobile phones by patients. This allows centralizing the data on each district, with the record of the lists of patents and immediate data updating.

According to the quoted source, the platform might be used also for the monitoring of patients with other pathologies, by deepening technologies of telemedicine and digitalization of the medical system.
