As many as 918 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,493 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 918 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which nine import ones. As many as 60,833 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 54 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 20, medical assistants –24, auxiliary staff employees – 10.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 781 are in serious condition, of whom 42 patients are connected to assisted breathing. At the same time, 1,827 patients are in medium seriousness condition and the other ones are in satisfactory condition.

Another 481 people were treated and discharged today. As many as 43,489 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,442 people dead of coronavirus in all.
