Moldovan diplomacy head has phone discussion with Georgian counterpart

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea today had a phone conversation with Foreign Affairs Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
The heads of the two diplomacies discussed up-to-date subjects in the Moldovan-Georgian relations and prospects for their development in more sectors, including through extending the formats of cooperation in the region and international organizations.
Oleg Tulea and David Zalkaliani referred also to preparatory measures for the forthcoming elections, due in Georgia (31 October, parliamentary polls) and Moldova (presidential elections), as well as the pandemic situation.
In the end, the foreign affairs ministers agreed on the boosting of contacts and mutual support within the elective bodies from the United Nations, Black Economic Cooperation Organization, GUAM (Organization for Democracy and Economic Development), as well as the synchronization of the cooperation agenda on the Eastern Partnership’s platform, in the spirit of Moldova’s European integration aspirations.
