Moldova, IDA sign financing agreement

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Finance and the International Development Association (IDA) have signed the Agreement on the third additional financing for the Competitive Agriculture in Moldova MAC-P Project worth 13.5 million euros.

The agreement provides for the establishment of a comprehensive animal by-product management system. According to the Ministry of Finance, the component includes the construction of a facility for the destruction / processing of animal waste not intended for human consumption, which would be a real solution to maintain the favorable epizootic situation in the country, including environmental protection, and facilitate the inclusion of Moldova in the list of countries with the right to export animal husbandry products to the European Union.

Also, additional funds will be allocated to ensure the effective coordination and management of the project, including the ongoing provision of financial audit, the functioning of the grievance mechanism, monitoring and evaluation and other aspects that allow for implementation.

The interest rate on the loan is currently 0.45% annually. In addition, the payment of the service fee in the amount of about 0.75% per year is provided.
