Moldovan government to earmark over 2 million lei to demolish Otaci building

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/- Today, Prime Minister Ion Chicu chaired a meeting of the Commission for Emergencies. The main issues on the agenda were the liquidation of the damages caused by the recent natural disasters and the demolition of the 9-storey building in Otaci, collapsed in June 2019, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The commission members decided to earmark 2.2 million lei from the government intervention fund for the demolition of the building in Otaci town. The estimate of expenses was approved required to provide construction materials and works to liquidate the consequences of bad weather in several localities in Criuleni, Soroca and Glodeni districts.
In total, 2162 slate sheets, 1025 m2 of metal tiles and 15.1 m3 of timber were allocated for the three districts. The total value amounts to 505 thousand lei.
