As many as 1,149 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,976 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,149 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which four import ones. As many as 64,424 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.    

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 83 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 33, medical assistants –33, auxiliary staff employees – 17.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 753 are in serious condition, of whom 39 patients are connected to assisted breathing. At the same time, 1,543 patients are in medium seriousness condition and the other ones are in satisfactory condition.  

Another 443 people were treated and discharged today. As many as 45,545 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,514 people dead of coronavirus in all. Among the dead people, there is also the head of the epidemiology section of the Soroca-based Public Health Centre, aged 78. Forty two medical employees have died of COVID-19 till present.
