Moldovan cognac appreciated at international event

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/- Eleven distillates of aged wines from six national producers took 11 awards at DB & SB Autumn Blind Tasting, a profile event organized by one of the most important British beverage magazines The Spirits Business.

The participation of the companies was possible also due to the support offered by the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV), which set out in the annual activity plan of the institution the participation in competitions dedicated to cognac and strong drinks.

After DB & SB Autumn Blind Tasting, the list of producers from the Republic of Moldova was enriched with seven gold medals, three silver and one master.

In Moldova there are 20 companies producing cognacs. According to national legislation, wine distillates are classified according to age and quality criteria.
