Loan contracts signed for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Finance announced the signing of the Lending Agreements under the loan granted by the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), in order to turn to good account the loan funds offered by the bank and intended to finance the Project Emergency Response to COVID-19 and Support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
The loan of the bank worth 70 million euros was approved by the government and ratified by the parliament.
The component of the Credit Line for recrediting real sector enterprises is 30 million euros and is to be implemented by the Ministry of Finance through the Office for the Management of External Assistance Programs and the participating financial institutions. The goal of the Credit Line is to support the work of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, creating and maintaining viable jobs, facilitating access to advantageous financing funds.
The loans will be released both to finance investments and for working capital needed by economic operators, who have suffered as a result of the pandemic.
The 40 million euro component of the Project, from which the necessary expenditures related to the improvement of the public health sector and related infrastructure can be financed will be implemented through the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and OGP AE.
