Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with Ambassador of Romania

Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea and Romania’s Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita discussed priority subjects and the current dynamic in the achievement of the goals from the bilateral agenda at a meeting today, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
Minister Oleg Tulea reiterated the interest in boosting the political dialogue and extending the sectoral Moldovan-Romanian cooperation, in accordance with the priorities agreed upon at the inter-ministerial consultations between state secretaries, held in Bucharest on 17 August 2020.
Taking into account the electoral processes from Moldova and Romania, the interlocutors exchanged opinions on aspects dealing with the organization of polling stations for the fellow countrymen who live in other states.
The officials discussed also ways of deepening the bilateral cooperation on the dimension of combating the spread of the pandemic. In the context, the minister asked for Romania’s support to facilitate the purchasing of doses of vaccine against COVID-19.
Another subject tackled at the meeting regarded the cooperation within the regional and multilateral formats, including the mutual support of the national candidacies within the international organizations.
