Central Electoral Commission sets overall number of ballot papers for presidential polls at polling stations from Moldova

Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today established the overall number of ballot papers for the 1 November 2020 elections of the Moldovan president for the polling stations from Moldova.
According to the CEC’s press service, there are 2, 934, 017 ballot papers in Moldova in all, of which 2,168,620 in Romanian and 765,397 – in Russian.
Under the provisions of the Electoral Code, the ballot papers printed will be distributed to the district electoral councils and afterwards submitted to the electoral bureau of the polling station.
As many as 2,004 polling stations were set up for the 1 November 2020 presidential polls on the territory of Moldova.
CEC printed 556,000 ballot papers for the polling stations created outside the country and these ballot papers are to be submitted to the diplomatic missions and consular offices of Moldova from abroad.
