National Bank of Moldova announces second issue of Give Sense to Money project

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) has informed about the holding on 29-30 October of the second annual issue of the financial education activities, initiated within the project, Learn. Give Sense to Money, carried out in partnership with the Expert-Grup Independent Analytical Centre. People willing to register can submit the applications on participation till 28 October.
The event will take place with the title, Way of Money, on the occasion of the World Savings Day and is meant for young people aged from 16 years, who want to naturally and actively integrate in the modern world of the financial system.
„This year, participants will start a virtual travel, during which they will learn many interesting things about the ‘’way of money’’ to the real economy, non-cash payment instruments and curiosities about their use in Moldova and abroad. They will also learn how money get into circulation and which are the safety elements of the national currency. Young people, along with the event’s organizers will reflect on the national financial system and will discuss about what the savings and crediting instruments represent,’’ according to BNM.
The participants will be able to recapitulate the knowledge, as the sessions provided for those two days will finish with an evaluation contest and the winners will be awarded prizes with sets of the mint.
Give Sense to Money is an education project launched by the National Bank of Moldova and Expert-Grup Independent Analytical Centre in March 2019. The project was initiated, in order to enhance the level of understanding of the principal financial concepts and products among young people, so that, when facing situations with financial impact, they should take correct decisions in managing their own incomes.
