Single menu to be implemented in all kindergartens in Chisinau

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/- In all kindergartens in the capital will be delivered products of the same quality, origin and at the same price. In order to centralize public procurement of food for children, a consortium agreement was signed today between the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports and the profile directorates in the sectors of Chisinau municipality.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said that the agreement aims at increasing effectiveness of procurement and best use of funds, as well as providing single menu in kindergartens in the capital.

“As a result of the common procurement procedure, products of the same quality, origin and price will be delivered in all kindergartens, ensuring fairness.Last week, the intersectoral technical group met to discuss the specifications for the purchase of food products in kindergartens, and by the end of the week, the procurement procedure for the purchase of products will be launched, "said Ceban.

So far, the relevant departments of Chisinau were in charge of acquisitions for kindergartens. 131 kindergartens are operating in Chisinau.
