Moldovan electoral body starts printing ballots for 1 November presidential elections

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission / CEC / today started printing the ballots for the presidential elections of 1 November 2020. They are to be distributed to the polling stations.
According to the CEC data, the price of a ballot paper is 0.144 lei, and the printing of the 2934017 ballot papers will cost 422498.45 lei.
In accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Code, the printed ballot papers will be distributed to the constituency electoral councils, subsequently handed over to the electoral bureau of the polling station.
For presidential elections, 2004 polling stations were set up in Moldova.
Previously, 556 thousand ballot papers were printed for polling stations opened abroad, which will be sent to diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Moldova abroad.
