As many as 833 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 3,907 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 833 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which nine import cases. As many as 68,791 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 53 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –19, medical assistants –21, auxiliary staff employees – 13.
Most cases were registered in Chisinau – 314, left bank of Dniester – 73, Balti – 42, Edinet – 40, Briceni – 32, Anenii Noi – 25, Cahul and Ialoveni – 20, Ocnita – 18, Soroca – 17, Glodeni -16.
The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 800 are in serious condition, of whom 43 patients are connected to assisted breathing). Also today, another 619 people were treated and discharged from hospitals. As many as 49,702 people have been healed of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 13 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,630 people dead of coronavirus in all.
