Commercial, economic offices to be set up at Moldova's embassies in Austria, France, United Kingdom

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ - One decision-maker in charge of commercial and economic services will work at Moldova’s Embassies in Austria, France, United Kingdom each. The cabinet today approved the filling of the staff of these Embassies.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the diplomats will have the mission to actively promote the investment opportunities offered by Moldova and turn to account the commercial and economic relations.

„These economic offices which we have at more embassies must work more efficiently and their priority task for the next years should be the attraction of foreign investors to those 18 industrial platforms which we set up in districts. Each of our economic representatives must come with investors; otherwise, the expenses we have for arranging the grounds make no sense,’’ PM Ion Chicu said. He asked the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry to periodically check the efficiency of these offices and inform the society about the results yielded.
