As many as 777 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 22 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,441 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 777 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import cases. As many as 69,568 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.    

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 39 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –10, medical assistants –21, auxiliary staff employees – 8.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 795 are in serious condition, (of whom 42 patients are connected to assisted breathing); 1,342 are in medium seriousness condition and the others are in satisfactory condition.  

Another 720 people were treated and discharged from hospitals. As many as 50,422 people have been healed of COVID-19 in all.  

A number of 7,765 people are treated at home with easy forms of COVID-19 and 25,216 are under supervision at the domicile.   

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 11 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,641 people dead of coronavirus in all. The virus killed a 72-year-old medical employee from the Hancesti Public Health Centre. Forty five medical system employees have died because of COVID-19 so far.
