As many as 414 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 25 October /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 1,716 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 414 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which two import ones. As many as 71,503 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.       

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 21 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –6, medical assistants –11, auxiliary staff employees – 4.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 824 are in serious condition, (of whom 43 patients are connected to assisted breathing); 1,297 are in medium seriousness condition, while the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

In the context, 7,322 people are treated at home with easy forms of COVID-19 and 25,265 are under supervision at the domicile.      

Another  571 persons were treated and discharged from hospitals. As many as 52,290 people have been healed of COVID-19 in all.  

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,685 people dead of coronavirus in all. The virus killed also the head of the New Soroca Health Centre - a 45-year-old woman. So far, 47 medical employees have died because of COVID-19.
