Two thousand people with hearing deficiencies to receive special adapted protective masks in Moldova

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ - Two thousand people with hearing deficiencies, including children, will receive masks with visor, specially adapted for them. The masks were purchased with EU’s support.
According to the Keystone Moldova Association, the masks are created, so that the mimicry of the lips is visible, which is particularly important for the communication of the persons with hearing deficiencies. They will be distributed to children and adults, including teachers from education institutions where the people with hearing deficiencies study.
The masks were bought within the project titled, Safety and rights of people with intellectual and psycho-social disabilities from institutions on the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, financed by the European Union and implemented by Keystone Moldova.
The aforementioned project is backed through the EU’s Emergency Mechanism for the Eastern Partnership countries and additionally sees supply of disabled people and employees from six residential institutions of Moldova with protection equipment: masks, gloves, protective spectacles, visors, disinfectant and protective footwear.
