As many as 649 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,919 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 649 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import ones. As many as 72,460 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 42 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –12, medical assistants –19, auxiliary staff – 11.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 814 are in serious condition, (of whom 41 patients are connected to assisted breathing); 1,322 are in medium seriousness condition, while the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

In the context, 7,042 people are treated at home with easy forms of COVID-19 and 24,442 are under supervision at the domicile.    

Another 471 persons were treated and discharged from hospitals. As many as 53,201 people have been healed of COVID-19 in all.  

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another ten deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,710 people dead of coronavirus in all.
